Here’s what we offer:
Elementary School
We are excited to announce we are adding a new program for elementary school students. This 28-32 week program focuses on FUN and SKILLS while guiding students through U.S. History, patriotism , and being a responsible citizen.
New for 2024-2025: LIVE Biweekly Activities
Using the content of Studies Weekly and the Virginia Standards of Learning, we are offering 15 LIVE opportunities for students to get together to complete activities and extensions.
Middle School
Four Middle School U.S. History courses that are modeled on the Virginia Standards of Learning.
U.S. History I (Grade 6 in VA)
U.S. History II (Grade 7 in VA)
Civics and Economics (Grade 8 in VA)
Each of these classes has the following features:
VA licensed teacher
Uses Google Classroom and Google Suite of products (i.e.-Google doc, presentation)
Rolling enrollment throughout the year
9 self-paced units
Grading using rubrics and teacher feedback throughout each unit.
Emphasis on skills we have identified as lacking in most overseas’ schools such as research and expository writing.
Designed with the idea that students in other grade levels can still take each of the courses. For example, an 8th grade student can take U.S. History I and U.S. History II with grade-level rubrics.
High School
High school course designed for students wanting to know and understand the U.S.
U.S. History Semester A
U.S. History Semester B
U.S. Government
U.S. Civics
Each of the classes has the following features:
Using Edmentum curriculum, theses courses confer 0.5 credits for each semester long course.
Designed for students interested in learning U.S. history but have not had chance to take a class and/or live in the U.S.
Fits into active high school schedules
VA licensed teacher
Rolling enrollment
Great if your child has never lived in the States or needs U.S. history for college.
